GOVERNOR EL-RUFIA JUSTIFIES THUGS ATTACKS ON LAW MAKERS AND JOURNALISTS IN KADUNA

The Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El’Rufai has recently defended the attacks on Lawmakers and Journalists in Kaduna at the Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on the 30th of July 2017.
The Governor said the Lawmakers were attacked because they have not been performing since they were sworn into office as legislators, and also added that the journalists were attacked because they played host to the Lawmakers.
This was made known through the Special Adviser (Political), Hon Uba Sani, during an interview he anchored in Hausa on the local Nagarta Radio in Kaduna yesterday.
Senators Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central), Suleiman Hunkuyi (Kaduna North), and other House of Representatives members from the state were to address the press in protest when the attack occurred.
The lawmakers alleged that governor El’Rufai undemocratically compiled names of party officers of the state APC and single-handedly submitted the list to the National headquarters.
